What is the Heart Sutra All About?

A Study Series with Roshi Enkyo O’Hara

Three Tuesdays:
May 13, 20, and 27
7:15 pm—9:00 pm

The Heart Sutra, chanted daily in Zen and many Buddhist centers, is a twenty-four line jewel of wisdom.  To penetrate the meaning of the Heart Sutra is to unlock the core teachings of emptiness and compassion. Thus, the sutra offers an alternative to fear and troubling thoughts.

Here is an opportunity to delve deeply into this essential text under Enkyo Roshi’s guidance. Her unique way of teaching through lecture, discussion and experiential inquiry challenges beginner’s mind and old mind.

Join Roshi for these three study sessions.

Fees:  VZ members: $45 for series; Non-members: $60.
